It is possible occasionally to ID a eucalyptus from a photo only of the whole tree. This is not one. Closeups of bark, leaves, flower buds, and gum nuts are usually needed, preferably with a ruler in the photo or field notes on dimensions. Sometimes a photo of open flowrrs may be of use.
I still see this tree whenever I drive past on William Hovell Drive, so will hopefully one day go back and get some more photos to get an ID. Still reckon it is an Apple Box, but want to be sure.
