Well spotted Petersan, this is a very important sighting for Mt Majura, as only 1 other (that I know of) Eriochilus leaf has been reported and I don't think we have any records of them in flower. One to definitely keep an eye on next autumn...
Thanks Aaron. Will it really take that long to flower? I wonder in that case if the leaves will survive grazing and summer. I will keep an eye on them.
The leaf will shrivel well before flowering. The new leaf will not reach maturity until well after flowering in the autumn, which is why they are visible during the winter months.
