It looks like verbena bonariensis (Purpletop) which has almost finished flowering. It is an introduced species often occurring in pastureland.

This is a widespread weed species introduced from Europe, called Petrorhagia nanteuilli. It is in the same family as carnations and sweet william

I don't think it is petrorhagia nanteuilli as this species only has a single flower at the end of each stem and is pale pink

I've added a stem from a nearby same type of plant... but it probably won't be of much help, so sorry for not getting enough detail to have it identified.
