Mike. It is the leaves that distinguish this from Chrosocephalum semipapposum, not the flower heads. A closeup of stems and leaves would have been more useful. Regards. Betty
Will do that next time, though I thought the first photo showed enough. I can generally distinguish the two by leaves and habit but occasionally there is a bit of head-scratching.
