Yes a remarkable record I think in that location this late in the season. Even records in the ranges are few and far between and I can't recall any records of birds passing through the suburbs in the last several years.
I was surprised because as far as I am aware, Cicadabirds are rare summer migrants to the ACT. They are usually only found in the ranges around Canberra apart from occasional passage migrants recorded at widespread localities in Canberra. I am unaware of any previous records for Red Hill, so a good record.
