Its just reflection from the flash I think. Sometimes happens at a certain angle.

But you never get violet, blue, green, yellow or orange eyes. I thought red-eye in human photos shows reflection from the blood in the retina, but moths do not have red blood.
Maybe this particular moth was angry or something.
