I'm loathe to go to species (or even genus) with these pentatomid immatures, as I don't know them. They could be Poecilometis, but Theseus is also an option (if it occurs here).

Why is this considered to be an immature?

The suggestion was based on the following confirmed sightings of this species:
Shield, Stink & Jewel Bug (Pentatomoidea) Poecilometis strigatus (Gum Tree Shield Bug) on 5 Feb 2017

Shield, Stink & Jewel Bug (Pentatomoidea) Poecilometis strigatus (Gum Tree Shield Bug) on 15 Mar 2009
Perhaps we should review some of the sightings on the following species page in view of your doubts:

William, you can view the adult specimens at the above mentioned species page.

The insect in my posting appears to be somewhat lighter in colour, but otherwise I see no significant differences.

The following sighting is of an adult:
Shield, Stink & Jewel Bug (Pentatomoidea) Poecilometis strigatus (Gum Tree Shield Bug) on 15 Nov 2017
You can see that it has wings, but the immature does not.

I agree our records of P. strigatus need reviewing. I need to look at ANIC material and probably check the scientific literature.
