User's notes

Thanks to Marcus Leach for helping to find the male and female Carpenter Bees on these two bushes. Over 30 minutes of observation, 2 males were seen chasing 2 females at the same time, on each of 3 distinct occasions. 3 females were seen at the same time on one occasion. Very hot and windy conditions with the bushes thrashing around. The final out of focus image shows a male flying up behind a female whilst she was collecting pollen.

Looks like they are feeding on a Cassia sp. which I think is a new one for the garden records.
