This cicada was observed emerging as an adult insect over a period of about 90' minutes.

Unfortunately, no. The 'bird' has flown. I should have caught it and kept overnight at least.

Never mind Ian. Perhaps next time. It looks much like the dark morph of Yoyetta hunterorum, which has been caught in the ACT, but I never found it while I was living in Canberra.
