Dropped down from a paper daisy and started to burrow into the ground. Butterfly or moth I'm not sure. Tending towards butterfly since it doesn't have spiky hairs.

The caterpillars of a number of Crambidae and Pyralidae speies look like that, eg Chilo suppressalis, Arcola malloi, Hellula undalis.
