We think this is a loop of a legless lizard. I stand to be corrected but it is a rare sighting in the Aranda Bushland.

My best guess is Ctenotus taeniolatus, always a problem when you can only see its tail. Certainly not like any legless lizard I know from here. Happy to leave it as a suggest until someone else agrees.
