User's notes

Boormanii seems accepted as cultivated or naturalised when found in the ACT. NSW Flora Online reports the range as from south of the Cooma district. These specimens are in scrub a little to the North of Cooma but are well away from any tracks or dwellings. If they are boormanii the location suggests that they are natural rather than introduced. There is a second patch of 3 - 5 bushes a few hundred metres from those photographed.

Certainly looks like A. boormanii

Phyllodes are a bit broader than the A. boormanii I am familiar with, but the ones around Isaacs/Mugga could be naturalised ones. Plantnet gives width 1-3mm so it might fit.

David I think Acacia boormanii is probable but Acacia kettlewelliae also seems to be a possibility. Pods should be less that 5mm wide if boormanii and 7-14mm wide if kettleelliae -

Michael, thanks for your comments and ID. I visit this area several times a year and will try to check seed pods and let you know the outcome.
