User's notes

The male came up from the water and stood watching me. I thought he was looking for food until I realised there was a nesting female and I decided to leave. Only then did the male fend me off as I backed up with his beak firmly against my camera lens. I was thankful for the long lens. Second photo taken from a safer distance.

Is this on the island itself? It tends to be a mound of reeds in the water so this is rather unusual. How unusual I'm not sure, but possibly worth investigating.

It's on the very end of the eastern side of the island.

Looks like the GPS location has been taken from my second photo where I was standing on the opposite bank.

As a general rule, the system takes the location from the last photo loaded.
