Hakea sericea is a species of the coast and nearby ranges. I would not expect it to be on Black Mountain unless it is an escape from the Botanic Gardens. It has very hairy young branches and the gynoecium (pollen presenter/style) is 4-7.5 mm long. Hakea decurrens subsp. decurrens is more likely. It has hairless or nearly hairless young branches and the gynoecium is 9-12 mm long.

The bright red young branches is another way to identify Hakea decurrens from Hakea sericea
