@Tapirlord are you sure this is S. madagascarensis? The leaves are very fine, outrolled, lacking teeth, and the flowers aren’t as dense or as numerous as in S. madagascarensis. Additionally the ray florets are up to 8 rather than 13-15 as expected in S. madagascarensis. I was thinking this might be Senecio linearifolius var. linearifolius.

Yeah honestly I had misgivings about the ID when I confirmed it, this was just me being silly. of course S.madagascarensis should have 13-15 ray florets and thicker leaves with toothed margins. It will be one of the local species. In terms of S.linearifolius, i'm not sure. The photos don't lend themselves well to tell us the scale. However if the plant is around a metre tall that does sound promising.

I assume this image is from Bungonia. ANPS has S. lautus listed. We have an extensive plant list for this SCA from many WW visits. Most ANPS plant lists are on the Society’s web site and are a big repository of plant records for the local area
