Hi Luke, the leaves of this plant don't seem to have the acute pungent tip indicative of continentale, so interested to understand your decision as to species ? Jane
Pretty sure this is L.lanigerum Jane, the leaves are a bit wider and the branches are covered in woolly hairs. I imagine these were fairly tall, and forming quite dense stands along the creekline?
Yes, about 2 m tall, very densely clustered in creek-line and around part of dam. Branches are not as woolly as I would have expected . . . Over to you guys to tick off if you still think L lanigerum
Definitely L.lanigerum then, there are few teatrees that attain a height of over 2m in our region and the others occur at higher altitude than this. The density of woolly hairs is within the range typical of this species.
