Thanks, Ian. I have repeatedly found this species, or something very like, exceptionally difficult to photograph. I suspect that the camouflage patterning works to eliminate lines and sharp detail, making it technically difficult for the camera to focus. When the depth of field is limited this often leads to a failure.

OK, noted. Difficult angle and lighting. a case where a side-on photo would have made it easier to confirm what I think are tufts on the dorsal margin coinciding with the blank forewing mark. Nevertheless I think there is enough to suggest its E. exilis. (Epermeniidae family).
