I think D. explanata generally has a more jagged forewing postmedial line than this specimen.

Yes, I see your point, but I also think this moth looks very similar to the first image for D. explanata on Lepidoptera Butterfly House (identified as from South Australia). And I think this moth is also similar to Sighting No 4407646 from Boro NSW which was identiufied as D. explanata. Its a diverse genus with many species. it would be good to check these sightings against set specimens held in the Australian Natiional Insect Colllection (ANIC).
