User's notes
Unsure if this was a fungus. It was sighted towards the base of a tree in ANBG's Rainforest Gully. The images showing close-up detail appear to show the fungus peeling away from the tree's surface in several areas with this occurring towards the lower edge.

There are a few species of flat, white fungi in the rainforest gully. Pretty boring to the naked eye, but interesting under the microscope.
