First record of this invasive weed from Oakey hill.

Didn't really check whether it is a single plant or multiple. Flowers have finished, currently fruiting

So... any specific techniques for killing this one off? Or shall I wander up there again with a garbag this weekend and just pull out everything I can find (fruits and roots in particular)?

Yes this major weed elsewhere in Australia is becoming more frequent in the ACT and we will need people like Jmcleod to keep it out - Thanks

Dig the roots out, he says... Erk, these things have extensive but shallow roots... almost 3m from where it came out of the ground to where I lost the longest root.
Did a search around and couldn't see any others - there are a lot of hardenbergia in the area that the leaves can be superficially confused with.

Sorry about that. I must have been lucky with the ones I dug. When there are lots of different plants around I scrape the stems and apply glyphosate, but I didn’t know if you could do that.
Plants on Oakey Hill possibly spread from the old School of Horticulture (now Featherston Gardens) in Weston. I reported some from there in 2017 and assume they were removed.
