Thanks to Marcus Leach for the initial sighting of what is assumed to be a Flatworm. It was 25mm long as seen in the first image. In the fourth image the head end is on the right.

It is great to see this species again. I saw one specimen many years ago in the Victorian Eastern Highlands. It was originally described from the Burnett River area and Cooran in SE Queensland, but possibly has a disjunct distribution. Excellent photos showing the eyes very clearly.

What was the habitat in which the specimen was found?

The habitat was a tiled path through a residential garden, with a lawn on one side of the path and shrubs on the other side. The garden is surrounded by other residential properties with no bushland nearby. There are usually quite a few flatworms on the path in the early evening, especially after rain, but this is the first one of these we've seen. Hope this helps. Tim

That is most helpful. Do you know what other flatworm species have been seen on the path?
