A similar moth of mine was previously identified as Calathusa basicunea but I can't find any examples on ALA with black spots on the wings. I wonder if the black spots make it a different species.

A couple of the unnamed species of Calathusa on BOLD have similar black spots to yours.

These black spots occur on a minority of specimens several Calathusa species and aren't diagnostic in themselves
