Are you sure it's Crossophora semiota? The white lines look so much thinner than on the other sightings and the palps seem shorter.

There seem to be differences: the antennae appear longer in this specimen and have white on them. Yes, the palps appear shorter and there is an apparent thin reddish collar behind the head. And yes the white lines appear narrower, but they have the same shape and position. There are not many photos of the species online to go on. However, Crossophora seems to be a monotypic genus . Postings on the ALA described merely as 'Crossophora' just apparene tly lack the second rear white line. I couldn't find anything similar after a quick scan of Oecophorinae on the ALA. There is a black Garrha with a single broad whitline, but that's unlikely to be confused with this. We could give this sighting a temporary name e.g. Crossophora nr semiota' but I'd be interested to hear other views first. Glenn C. could check the ANIC set specimens to shed more light on this.
