New location of this regionally uncommon species

User's notes

Very tiny little spikerush growing in very wet drainage line, along with lots of Swamp Isotome and Golden Weather-grass, not sure what it is but closest I could find on browse through CNM was Eleocharis atricha?

You were spot on Matthew. The species is confined to soaks, drainage areas etc but only appears following really wet spring & early summer conditions such as we've had this year (and had in 2016). The tiny Small Trigger Plant (Stylidium despectum) can often be found growing with it, though none are apparent in your photo.

Thank you for the identification, I didn't see any of the Small Trigger Plant growing in that area, but will make a return visit in the next few days to look again.
