I only received the alert for Alison putting up the sighting and another alert for your comment. I also only confirmed once so you should've only received two moderator alerts... There might be something wrong with your account specifically?

Hi Yumi and Bron, There is currently a problem with uploads getting stuck in the queuing process. Several of mine are now duplicated on the Latest sightings page. Rohan is aware of this and is working on the problem. Could explain the extra emails also.
