Hi Lisa - you have 2 species here. First picture shows Striated Thornbill, third (and probably second) show Brown Thornbill. Please remove the first pic.
Oh dear. Oops - thank you for your time in identifying, and letting me know. At first, I wasn't going to take any photos, because I thought they were (I now know) buff-rumped thornbills. I'm a very new amateur - but I'm learning to take photos of any LBB (little brown bird), because there is such an array - and often within the same tree/shrub/area!
All good Lisa, happy to help. It becomes even trickier in winter with the mixed feeding flocks, although it does often allow you to get closer. It looks like you have removed the wrong picture though, so there is now one of each. Could you fix again :)
Still - so the bird high up in a tree in a Striated Thornbill, and the bird low down was the Brown. This has been confirmed as a brown, so you can keep the 2 photos of the bird in the shrub and remove the one up high in the euc.
