Hi - this is not a Bronze Needle; it appears to me most like a female Aurora Bluetail. Can you recall it's size (length)? Aurora Bluetails are tiny, no more than about 25 mm usually, and noticeably smaller than all other damselflies in the region. (Bronze Needles are more like 50-60 mm).

Sorry it definitely wasn't that small as my camera wouldn't have been able to pick it up - I was a fair way away as I couldn't get to the creek edge. I'm sure it was closer to 4, maybe 5, cm.
