These flowering plants near to the water were attracting all the small birds.

I found a seed that was in clear focus. Otherwise it would have been impossible to ID.

Thanks Betty, only after looking at my photos of the birds i started wondering what the plant they were all enjoying so much was, and didn't have photos specifically for the plant. Thank you for all your wonderful identification work - you are a star! The small birds do seem to enjoy a lot of introduced "weeds" don't they!

I am not really a birdo. I think the wrens were after insects. As far as I know they are not seed eaters.
