Thanks Kim, is the obvious difference between these two long-jawed genera at the end of the abdomen or is there something else to look out for?

Ken, Tetragnatha males are more elongate in the body and especially the legs, with the abdomen parallel-sided. They make an orb web. The male Cheiracanthium gracile at http://www.arachne.org.au/01_cms/details.asp?ID=2573 could be mistaken for a Tetragnatha but is not as elongate. The long-jawed Clubiona sp. (related to Cheiracanthium) at http://www.arachne.org.au/01_cms/details.asp?ID=2575 has parallel jaws. Clubionidae are hunters, they do not use a web to catch prey. Regards, Kim.
