Stephen Skinner of the NSW Herbarium said "a Cyanobacterial crust that has floated to the surface. It may be in one of the three Orders, Pseudanabaenales, Phormidiales or Oscillatoriales. It is a beautiful picture of what you see: no specimen, NO IDENTIFICATION possible."
