According to Michael Mulvaney, this sedge is currently only known from two locations in the ACT. All recent reports are on Canberra Nature Map. Prior to these reports Trim Flat Sedge was last recorded in the ACT in 1965 from a park in Reid.

There seems to be only one plant, and it was still there in the summer of 2013-2014.
