CTT300: Upper Tuggeranong Ck species

Overview

Upper Tuggeranong Creek, under Lienhop Bridge, Theodore to Monaro Highway. Rocky bottom ephemeral creek. Poplar canopy with mixed understorey of exotic woody weeds, weed ground cover and some native grasses and shrubs. Water often has high salinity readings. Site often suffers from illegal dumping from surrounding suburbs and the adjacent Monaro highway. In the mid 90’s Martin Lind caught the only example of a Galaxid fish ever seen in the region.
