Update: Due to the weather, this event has been moved to:

Yarralumla Gallery and Oaks Brasserie

Located at: 36 Robert Boden Grv, Yarralumla ACT 2600

The Canberra Nature Map committee is organising a Social Event for World Environment Day, which is on 5 June 2025, but slightly delayed for convenience.

It will be a picnic at Weston Park, Yarralumla, on Sunday 8 June, from 1 pm to 3pm, but there is no need to hurry home.

Details: Join us for an informal social catch up to celebrate World Environment Day. No formal talks, just an opportunity to share food and chat to your fellow mappers and moderators.
This isn't a catered event, so please bring the following (if you are able) :

A plate of food to share (with ingredients listed) OR some drinks to share
Your own cup, cutlery, a plate to eat off and a napkin if you wish
A chair if you wish to sit down

Please RSVP at the details below, as we may have to postpone in case of bad weather and will update all who have provided contact details (in addition to updating the NatureMapr events page).

RSVP by email to Emma and Mary at: woyapp@hotmail.com and marywebb25@gmail.com

Below is a map showing you the location, circled in red, and a photo of the venue. Note that there is shelter and some tables etc. We will also try to bring a marque so that the weather will not affect us too much. We hope to see you there.

Sorry for a duplication of this Event in Announcements. For some unknown reason when I posted this Event it was not included on todays' NatureMapr Daily Summary, so I am adding it as an Announcement today.
