If you ignore the lowermost leaves only three species in our area have opposite leaves, W. luteola is white, yellowish or brownish on the outside of the petals, the lower leaves of W. gracilis are obovate (broadest above the middle) which just leaves W. strict - so checking whether most leaves up teh stem are opposite each other or alternate is a good place to start.
