If you follow the PlantNET key for where C. carnea is separated from C. fuscata at couplet 33 aside from some potentially dubious measurement differences C. carnea is said to have outer surfaces with central lines of greenish glandular hairs. Whereas C. fuscata is said to have outer surfaces covered with reddish brown glandular hairs. Is this a reliable character? I don't know, but perhaps someone here does?
