Looks like a ground cover with long shoots. Growing on stretches of ginnenderra creek .

Looks like Aster novi-belgii (a garden escapee), but it may have had a name change since I took my photos of it years ago, as Aster subulatus has had. Like A. subulatus as was, it seems to like dampish areas. I saw it at Talbingo lake margins.
