May be a very stunted Diphucrania acuducta. If not, maybe D. parva, which is the size of this one and occurs in the region, but the pattern of scales on the elytra and pronotum doesn't match that species very well.

Thanks Kim. Could easily 'overlook' these tiny buprestids but I consider them well worth investigating. Is there a person (alive, or sane) who is considered the Alpha diphucrania?
