I would suggest this is Pimelea linifolia subsp. linifolia not P. glauca. That area had a control burn in February 2014 which stimulated the growth of Pimelea linifolia. P.glauca is not generally found in that area.

Mike, what colour were the leaves? They look glaucous (pale with a waxy bloom) in the photo, but that is not necessarily what they were in the flesh.

The leaves were pale but didn't seem to have a waxy bloom. I took the photo because I was struck by the precise arrangement of the leaves at right angles to the stems.
