Significant sighting

MichaelMulvaney noted:

16 Oct 2015

Thanks Mike, this really is a major infestation. This coverleaf supports a moderate population of the endangered Golden Sun Moth so that is a concern, on the other hand I think the NCA's West Basin plan has this clover leaf under development plans.

User's notes

Over 500 square metres in grass north of Parkes Way and Commonwealth Avenue. Imagine what it could do in our Nature Reserves.

I wonder if the lawn mowers will get cleaned after they mow this or will the seed get scattered along the roadsides.

Yes - other reports coming in too. Plants spreading along suburban nature strips, plants removed from Mt Pleasant and Black Mountain. Maybe a sleeper weed that is starting to increase its rate of spread.
