Author's notes

I haven't really shown scale that well here but flowers are similar size to P. nutans ... flower stems vary a bit but nothing more than 20 cm tall. So have gone with P. aneba as my guess + location (Smokers Gap) also matches Field Guide to Orchids ACT. Nice little stand of about 20 plants in flower - may have been a few more not flowering.

Nice find if they are P. aneba. I have seen them in this area but they don't appear every year. They are similar to P. monticola but much smaller. They also often form dense colonies. The labellum is blunt and the sinus deeply notched, which seems to be the case with image 4. If you can confirm the size I will confirm it as P. aneba.

Hi Tony - I've added some more images showing the flower size on sighting 3387190. I think these support the P. aneba ID? Let me know what you think. Cheers Glen
