I wondered about the lack of red markings. I thought they might have faded with age, but the moth doesn't look worn.

The dot pattern suggests this is simply an Utetheisa (genus) species, but with the red dot markings showing only extremely faintly or not at all. I believe I have seen this lack of red markings in Utetheisa (genus) specimens before.

Various moths in this group have flightless females. The males visit the emerged female to mate and (in Anestia sp) she lays her eggs on her cocoon. Inside her cocoon is her empty pupal case. Often the spent female body an be seen on the case, but I can't see it here. Look at Anestia (genus)
