Elapid

Common Tiger Snake is one two species of tiger snake found in Australia, but there is great variation in size and colour between different populations. They often have bands like a tiger (bands go around the snake while stripes run along the body). Common Tiger Snake may grow up to 1.2m but larger snakes have been reported.

Distribution: Relatively common throughout region.
