Corythucha ciliata (Sycamore Lace Bug)

This bug only feeds on Plane trees, Plantanus occidentalis which is called Sycamore in the USA. The first Australian record was from 2007 in Sydney and is now quite widespread in the Sydney area. It is capable of causing severe leaf defoliation - so one we should look out for.
