User's notes

As most of the other young Native Cherry trees in the area this specimen was grazed by flying or abseiling rabbits; no, not by our kangaroos, they wouldn't do this to native cherries, wouldn't they? I've never observed Swamp or Red neck wallabies in this area - I guess because there are too many dogs off lead. I once found a dead hare killed by Calicivirus, see https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/3394564. Maybe hares with their long legs can reach the top standing on toes however some of the grazed native cherries are >1m tall sticks.
