An ever increasing area of Chilean Needle Grass CNG mapped repeatedly over the years and photographed and described to the land manger PCS. Unfortunately, as predicted the CNG jumped the previously informal, now made formal track at sites where it was contained previously and spreads east; the track is heavily used by bike riders, walkers, dogs on and off lead, even horses as reported repeatedly. the CNG threatens parkcare volunteer work as reported repeatedly. The biggest problem is 1. the resident who distributes CNG clippings willfully in the reserve (as reported repeatedly); 2. PCS who slash CNG at peak seed time (as reported repeatedly) ; 3. the lack of management plan and action; 4. the inappropriate re-sourcing of land management particularly of grassy woodland which is the most disturbed and heavily used and abused ecosystem on Mt Majura; 5. the inappropriate structure of the land manager PCS whose staff turn-over does not allow for proper management and may be responsible for the happy ignorance and let-go attitude. I assume staff who distributed seeds by slashing at peak seed time were not aware they slashed CNG at peak seed time and what the consequences of this actions are. CNG is the highest risk transformer invasive Weed of National Significance and allegedly the highest priority weed of the land manager.
