User's notes

hawthorn perhaps "cut" by rabbit - the close-by gully is riddled with rabbit warrens - as indicated by the oblique cut. It is unlikely that this was an ineffective treatment attempt by volunteers since there wasn't a follow up woody weed control for a number of years in that particular area. Cut and dabbed and mapped with Field Maps Treated Weeds.
