On the shady side or underside of redwood. Looks like it's dusted on and varies from neon yellow to pale green.

Con, I will leave it to Heino to decide if it is Chrysothrix xanthina. A likely reference for this genus in Australia is Elix G.A. & G. Kantvilas 2007 Chrysothrix in Australia, The Lichenologist 39(4): 361–369. Perhaps there is a more recent paper?
