A group of Cootamundras; most were cut and painted with Glyphosate; this record shows one specimen that was frilled using an axe. In the first attempt the cuts were shallow removing bark but not cutting into the sap transporting cambium, some of which shown as green just scratched tissue on the 3rd photograph. The second frilling at the bottom of the stem, shown on the 4th photograph, was cutting well into cambium. The idea of frilling is to cut into the plant's cambium and spray glyphosate mix into the cuts. The glyphosate is transported with the sap when the plant retrieves the sap into the roots as a reaction of the wounding.
