User's notes

In the final image (poor quality: taken in a hurry) a foraging Spider ant walked over the Grasshopper's antennae. The ant appeared not to have seen the Grasshopper, and the Grasshopper remained motionless. Thanks to Barbara Leach for the initial sighting.
