I'd guess that this is still immature. In the first photo (at full size) the pores look to be very shallow, which supports the idea of immaturity. I'm not sure of the genus. However, this was at the base of a tree and your photos show short bristles/hairs on the upper surface which make me think the surface would have a velvety feel - which suggests Postia pelliculosa. That species has an orange-brown to red-brown upper surface when fully developed and a bit of that colour shows at the top. It may be that with time that colour would develop over the whole surface and confirm the ID as the Postia - but for now I'll leave it as is.
